In China, during the fourth century BCE, Master Zhuangzi had dream that he was a butterfly. When he awoke from this dream, he posed this question: Was he Zhuangzi dreaming he was a butterfly, or was he truly a butterfly dreaming that he was Master Zhuangzi? Instead of searching for an answer, Zhuangzi concluded that he was perceiving the transformation of things, and our perception of life does not matter as much as how we choose to live it.

Like Master Zhuangzi, you will also witness a transformation as you learn to improve your mind­body awareness. Over time, you will realize that ideas you have about yourself or others have about you are less important than who you are choosing to be at any given moment. Much like the infamous "Shaolin Butterfly" technique practiced by monks in China, this exercise will create rapid change and advancement in your practice if you learn to focus and execute it mindfully.

Technique:

Like the beating wings of a butterfly, rapidly contract and release your PC muscle, squeezing your egg firmly. Perform this as fast and gracefully as you can, building up to faster and faster movements as you advance in your practice

Don't be discouraged if you find it difficult to move quickly at first. This exercise is difficult no matter your skill level. With time, you will become better at controlling your movements with speed and agility.
