Sometimes, the faucet’s on full blast. Inspiration ceaselessly rains, pouring down in sparkling rivulets. Energy is boundless, ideas come quickly. Problems have easy solutions. In times like this it is hard to remember that it’s not always so easy. And conversely, when the faucet is barely dripping, it’s hard to imagine it was ever any other way. The good times seem unreal and far away. But such is the cyclical nature of life. Periodic lulls of rest and recentering also have their place, and are incredibly important for your soul. If you are feeling this way, take a break. Re-collect yourself. Do things that enrich your mind, body, and spirit. Play, quietly observe that which is beautiful around you, and try to be patient for the good times to reign once again.
