Newsflash: a pussy is not a word that describes someone who is weak or scared. Ladies, it is time to take this word back. If you hear someone use this word incorrectly, I hope you feel inspired to correct the offending party, and offer a gentle (or not so gentle) reminder that pussies are not weak, or scared, or feeble. Pussies are strong, and beautiful. Remind them of the realities of childbirth, and if necessary describe in detail what women voluntarily endure for the continuation of our species. I may even quote Betty White—“Why do people say "grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding.” Pussy is a sexy word that we can say without shame, and feel sexy saying it. Practice that. Because words matter.
