If there’s one thing you can be sure of in life, it’s that shit will hit the fan. Over, and over. And over.

Even when you meticulously plan every moment of your life, even when you try to anticipate every trip and fall. Even when you measure everything twice, still, sometimes you still have to cut more than once.

But, this universal truth doesn’t stop us from often feeling victimized by the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or seeing them as some sort of cosmic punishment. A wrathful God, the law of karma.

But, what if it’s something else? What if all that shit hitting the fan is simply doing so to provide a necessary deviation on your path, pushing you closer to the direction of your best possible outcome, your destiny?

Take a look at any trial, any horrifying period of your life, any trauma you have survived (for if you are reading this, you are a survivor), and look for the silver lining that puts a sparkle in your proverbial raincloud. The difficulties and stress you’re experiencing today are making you stronger, wiser, more capable

The quicker you are able to see the silver lining, the quicker you will be able to change your story from one of victimization to victory. If you’re feeling low, take a moment to stop feeling sorry for yourself, and really look for the silver lining.
If you fucked up and are dealing with the consequences, look for lesson that you are supposed to learn, and learn it. Stay positive and proactive.

The best way to repeat crappy cycles, is to believe that you have no control over them.

Control the narrative, control the future. Find the silver lining, and the silver lining will find you.
